I seen it happen before. My friend had a ford van and the brakes where bad. He also had a dodge van with a bad rear end we replaced. We took off the drum on the ford and everything was gone and twisted up. I had the light bulb go off and told him to take the old brakes from the dodge rear and put them on the ford.

It all fit and he even snapped the bleeders off the ford rear so the ones from the old dodge went on too. If I was not there to help him he would have spent A LOT of money for all new parts and it only cost him the price of some brake fluid.

I also seen it happen on a Honda and 4 greenhorns, Portuguese which I am  had a car up on a cheap jack stand. They where trying to get the drum off and knocked the wheel studs inside the drum too. He had his legs under the car up to his balls with nothing supporting the car in case it fell  I started yelling at the guy and told him to put the tire under the car in case it fell or else he would lose his legs and manhood. My friend got the drum off and the same thing, there was nothing left for the brakes.

So it's not just women who are stupid, It's my stupid Frenchman friend and the stupid greenhorns,,,

My girlfriend's dad recently paid 900$ to have a radiator replaced on a 1998 Suburban. I sh*t you not. I offered half a dozen times to do the same job for a few hundred bucks, but some people just don't get it. They think expensive means better quality.

The suburban is one of those customized conversion types you can buy at the dealer for 10 grand over the price of a stock one. It includes a few tv's and an extra radio. This should've been the red flag when offering to fix it for cheap.
