Well, I don't like her in "THAT" way, but she is a friend, and in a bad spot. She's a single mom with no job and no car, and not a bad person, so I have a hard time not helping. I have had to finance her for repairs before, and unlike some other people, I have never had trouble getting paid back for anything I lent her. If she didn't have the money to fix a dangerous issue, I would do it myself and let her make payments because I could never live with myself if she had an accident and it hurt or killed her or her child for want of $50. It's a complicated situation, but I am a giving person and have done more for other people for less. If it were just a water pump like I initially thought, I probably would not have charged her for labor and just told her to go get her life together and that would be thanks enough. You'd have to know me for a while to get me and how I roll, as many of the normal rules of how people are do not really apply to me. I probably have done more favors for people with car trouble than jobs I have gotten paid for. When I ran the pizza place, I did water pumps, radiators, A/C systems, Brakes, etc for my employees for free numerous times because I needed a driver that night and it was easier for me to fix the car than be a driver down. Plus, I liked working on cars more than slapping out pies, and it gave me a change of pace.
Anyhow, how about a B18A or B18B swap instead? Then again, it would use more gas than a 1.6. Also, no fart cannon for me! I would probably use a 2.25in single exhaust terminating in a stock VQ30DE Maxima's single muffler instead. It should be plenty quiet without being too restrictive since even the least powerful VQ made 190hp, and later ones are over 250, all in a quiet family sedan.
