I have a 200-4r

THe lockup soleniod is a single spade terminal telling me it is internally grounded solenoid. Obviously the terminal needs power to lockup the solenoid

I have a b&m lockup controler since I have no computer on my car.

I drive the car in overdrive and I have no lockup control being sent by the controler. Is this a controler issue, or something in the converter or trans?

Really if I think about this I should be able to supply 12v to the solenoid at 45-50 mph and feel the converter lockup.

Yes I think you should be able to supply it with 12v and get the lockup....

I just run a toggle switch.. and when I toggle it, I don't 'feel' it lock up so much since its a gradual thing, but the rpms do drop about 300.

the lockup solenoid is not internally grounded. There are two types, a two wire and a one wire. If it has the one wire there is actually two but the ground wire is a wire from the solenoid grounded to the metal frame of the solenoid. Most kits want a two wire solenoid and give you the part number to go buy one but if you have what they call a one wire all you do is to attach a wire to the short ground wire on the solenoid.
