Hello everyone! Well after being rescheduled 3 TIMES!!!! I had my back surgery on April 28th. ALIF ( in through the front) spinal fusion of the L-5, S-1 joint. Had 1st time slot of the day at 7:30 a.m, out and in recovery by 12:00. Ended up staying in the hospital for 3 days and went home on May 1st. The road to recovery has started!!!! Feeling good! Pain in leg/*ss/ lower back is GONE!!! Just gotta take it easy for awhile. Can’t lift more than a gator milk for at least 6 weeks, no bending or twisting if at all possible. The best thing so far is that I’m getting decent sleep! It was like 2-4 hours of tossing and turning before the surgery. Now I’m easily getting 6-8 a night. I’m glad it went well, and can’t wait to start PT in a few weeks!

yeah, I never had my C5-6 disc with pinched nerve fixed 20 yrs ago, the steroid shots took care of it (thank Gods!!). but like Flyers had to have mine rescheduled. the day I was supposed to get the first shot, the wife (who was pregnant) decided to go into labor. so I sat there the whole time in Labor/Deliver with a pinched nerve. she got the epidural and I was thinking, "wonder if I can ask for that too?"
