hey guys wusup. im looking for best: diff, wheel size, and suspension?? on low budget build i know the 7.5 dose not hold up. i was told the 8.5 dose but will it hold up good for a track use.. not looking for street use. would also like to know wat the biggest wheel and tire size i can fit in the rear withou having to tub out or any of that. what is a good spring and shock combo all around.

im thinking about going 355 383 or ls1. but i want to start on the suspension first. hp gole is in 500 for the 383 355. for the ls1 650+ also going with nitrous on any of the motors 411 gears. and i want it to stick. the car is basicly stripped and will only have 1 or 2 bucket seats.

these are on the car now they are 28.5x9x15 and it looks like i can fit something with more meat in there.

For a juiced drag car ford 9.

any info on the wheels.. whats the back spacing i need for a 15x10 weld wheel i seen the back spacing thread, but its mostly sock wheels..

ive only had moroso trick springs in a fox, on front and rear and with some drag radials i could get it to hook up all day. my friend is running some moroso trick springs in front on a monte carlo and some moog springs out back. and he would get his to hook most of the time. but he is only running 11.3s honestly if ur drag racing competitively or even just for fun but want the best possible et. ur gonna have to play with you r suspension a bit. especially if your spraying on the launch i had to go through 3 different sets of springs to get it right with that fox until i finally changed to some coil overs. coil overs work good to, gives u more adjustment, and some adjustable control arms work good for the track to.
but those moroso are a good start. the fronts give u some good weight transfer too.

a 8.5 rear will hold up just fine with what your looking to do.......If you can "steal" a 12 bolt rear from a '66-'72 A body car...scoop that up. I'll put my 12 bolt up against a ford 9" any day........I have 15x10 weld drag lites in the rear with a 5 1/2 back space...running 275-60-15 rears.....I had 28-10.5-15 slicks at one time.....Then again, as I have a 12 bolt rear from a '69 Chevelle, it's a lil wider then the stock rear...

i was loking for a 12 bolt, but did find any here in miami fl .i was going to build it with that. they told me it was basicly bullet proof when built right. so ur running the stock size 12 bolt. with that back spacing?? i think the ford 9 si a lilbit easier to find then the 12 bolt. i seen a couple for like 300 empty and complete for 600 with 411 gears.

Yup, stock 12 bolt width........I'm pretty sure the back spacing is what I said, now I gotta measure them to be sure ...LOL, ANyways if your looking for a 9" bolt in check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/9-Ford-G ... ccessories. Hope this helps ya..If you can find a decent center section at a fair price...problem solved🙂

thanks, im going to see witch one i find first. the ford 9 take more work to make it fit right? i have someone that can make me the brackets. dose the ford nine fit width wise, or dose it have to be shortend ?
