no just wanted to know about the motor goods and bad an how bad they suck pretty much..such my luck how do you know if you have vin 9 or y 307
honestly i found mine in a magazine,hemming muscle machines had a article of 86-88 442s and described 7a heads briefly and i read some stuff about them in a factory service manual
they wrote how 5a heads were the better performance cylinder heads and the 7a's were the economy type heads that utilzed egg-shaped cylinder bores that burned oil bad.also by boring out the cylinder heads and adding bigger pistons can stop the oil burning.I believe that 5a heads were used up til about midyear 1985 and 7a replaced them from 86-88.some 85 442's may have came with 7a heads? (correct me if wrong)
