I'm finally doin my swap from sbo 307 to sbc 350 and I'm having a hard time getting the bolts in the frame to mount the frame mounts. Is there some trick to this or do I have to take the lower control arm to access the holes from underneath? Please help.

I've never had a problem installing the frame pads for any of the motors I've put into my Cutlasses. Take a break, and go back to it when you're rested and rejuvenated.

use a wrench to hold bolt inside frame and a ratchet to tighten the bolt...

😀 lmao. Maybe that's what I need to do. I then tried everything, magnet holding the bolt trying to feed it thru the frame, magnet from up to lowering it down and trying to bring the bolt up. Just can't get it. Think I'll take your advise and get back at it 2morrow. It's embarrassing.

On the passenger's side the fuel lines are in the way of the slot that you are talking about. The driver's side doesn't look to be as difficult bcause the slot is open to put the wrench in.

You can move those down and out of the way. Just be careful not to pinch them shut.

Gonna try again 2morrow Qdub24. If I get frustrated again 2morrow gonna fly you in to Maryland for the help, just on the frame mounts. 😀

If you were in central or east TX, I maybe could be of some assistance. You'll get it just be patient and do what kuruption109 said. It's always worked for me.
