I made a post earlier about my 8.8. Well I just tried to install my upper relocation buckets and I have two problems. First my control arms don't fit into the buckets, they are too wide. Second, my arms can adjust short enough to get close to the new set of holes provided for adjusting. Now I have seen brackets to relocate the LOWER control arm to achieve a better instant center. Soooo can I lower the lower arms and leave the upper arms point upwards to achieve a better IC? Right now the IC falls behind the car somewhere. Lowering the lowers would move it forward towards where it's supposed to be. Thanks guys, this is turning back into a money pit...

Thank you...does anyone have experience with moving the IC around. How does the car react if the IC is up too high but forward? Yesterday I began making brackets and drilling holes on the frame side of the uppers so I could move the mounting point down about 1 1/2". The upper will now be point about straight if now down a hair. Any advise? I figure with the uppers like that I could make brackets for the lowers and move the IC back more...

As an update, I completed my homemade mods for the upper control arm mounts. The IC is now in front of the car, which is good, but it's too far out. My anti squat is at 50% which is an improvement from -48%. The car reacts much better under acceleration now as in it doesn't squat like before. The wheel hop issue is also much better! I'm very happy with it, but might consider the lower control arm kit which lowers the rear mounting point. That would allow me to get 100% anti squat. I don't do any racing so it's not that important to me right now.

would you have any pictures of your upper control arm mods ? did you lower them too much ?

Greetings Pontiacgp & all; Now that you have refilled any & all available space left in my brain, I've got to make a drawing. This will be a learning curve & a project that should yield noticeable benefits. Thank you, Bob Jr.
