Instrument Cluster

I have a 1980 El Camino and I am trying to put in a 1985 Instrument Cluster and having a hard time with wiring. I was told the wires were color coordinated to where all I had to do was cut and splice, but that is not the case. Please help

No need to cut and splice, if you are going from a gauge cluster with lights to a full gauge cluster you will need to move a couple of connectors. Take a look at the link above it will help alot. Here's another one.
