I talked to a Hagarty rep, and he said the driving to work was a no no.

I just pulled out my Hagarty poilicy and looked it over.
There is nothing in the Hagarty policy that says you cannot drive it to work, unless you are doing it regularly.

If you look at a Hagarty policy definitions section, the definiton for an antique of classic vehicle:
1) Is maintained primarily for use in car club activities, exhibitions, parades, other functions of public interest,or for a private collection
2) Is only used infrequently for other purposes

If you "infrequently" drove your car to work, especially if going to an "exhibition" immediately after, I don't think they could deny a claim if something happened.

Just saw your question. Try American Collectors Insurance.

http://www.americancollectors.com/

I've been using them for years, my Grand Prix was the vehicle I first set up my policy with, they were cool with it being modified and a restoration project. I think I had to write a letter outlining what I planned to do for the restoration, which was no problem. I later added my 89 Formula to my policy. No hassles at all, just the standard insurance stuff, sending them pictures and all that.

They do agreed value policies and I can't remember exactly what I pay for my GP but it is under $200 a year with an $8000 declared value. I am a happy customer 😀

I paid $19 A month for storage for years . Liability would be around $30 a month normal insurance. Full probably $52 even at $250 a year would be great deal . I put 90 miles on it since 91.

Just make sure you can buy back if wrecked. I was on sight to day that had (I was after mostly 60's" Comaro) But it was Specialty insurance company wholesaler. Most of the cars looked way to nice for most to just give up. Most dont think of that
