I dropped my $150 transmission off at the transmission shop. Coolest guys anywhere. I was asking them what go-fast parts should I buy for them to install, and they basically told me not to buy anything. They are going to put in a corvette servo, and one other mod (shoulda wrote it down, forgot) and-get this- a 4.3 v6 torque converter! $180 buys you a new torque converter with about 1800 stall! They said it will put up with 400 hp all day long. Sorry if you guys knew that already.

Here's my new Ls1-700r4 flywheel and adapter from Speedway

very cool...

you can also get a gm flexplate, spacers and bolts... I priced all this through a local gm dealer and was less expensive than the tci kit, but more than getting it from gmpartsdirect... $130 shipped

Flywheel #12621399 (used to be 12551367)
Crank Spacer #12563532
Longer Bolts #19257940 (need 6 of these)
You can do this with just the spacer and bolts, but the stock flexplate had has to be placed differently

The TCI kit is part #399753, it comes with the flexplate, spacer and bolts, but is $230

Yeah I didn't want to be goofing with a die grinder trying to get the holes just right.
My TCI is probably heavier though, which sucks
