Interesting Bolt On Upper control Arm Set Up.

I saw a similar setup on garage squad no less. I believe it was on an early Chrysler product with a 8 and 3/4 rear diff and they converted it to four link. Interesting idea for our weak 7 and 1/2-in rear ends.

It should work however the amount the pickup point is raised I am almost 100% sure will hit the trunk floor at full bump stop.

I did something similar for my 8.5 in both my 2+2 and cutlass. Bought a S10 zr2 rear thats an 8.5 and use the cover bolts to hold a bracket that looks similar and give you the UCA.

Problem with that one is it requires the use of an existing 8.5 housing with ears cast in. The 1st set of purple bushings appear to slide into the OEM UCA tabs and that just moves the pivot point up so get more anti-squat in the car.

My only criticism is typically an aftermarket fabbed 'torque box' is better with adjustable holes as the OEM one is pretty flimsy.

So what I'm thinking is a standard 8 and 1/2 from an S10 The plate bolted on and brackets / tabs to locate the upper control arms in the factory position... Am I crazy, maybe. Any thoughts, I'm definitely looking for suggestions here. I Can see the uppers with extra mounting holes to change the instant center.... Lower mounts on the axle tubes for the lower control arms. Just tossing around ideas here could even make them for 8.8 almost anything.
