Ive tried to post photos on this forum multiple times and for some reason I just cant get them on. I resprayed close to 25 pieces of interior plastic in the same light blue for my friends 79 Camaro. Hes owned the car since 1980. There were two different colors. One for the dash and console, the other for basically everything else. I had it mixed in SEM Color Coat by the local body shop supply. Im 90% sure its the same color of your interior. I wish I could post the darn photos !
I will give you my best advice. Before you spray the color make sure you prep EVERY piece. And I mean PREP !!! I cleaned all the pieces with Dawn dishwashing soap and hot water, then I used SEM soap and a brush and gray scotchbrite pad. Then I sprayed it all with the SEM plastic prep. After all that I sprayed on two light coats of Bulldog adhesion promoter. Then light coats of the color. Its looks factory and its been done for 2 years. That was the third time Ive used SEM. My next project is the complete interior plastic on my 83 wagon. I'll be starting that real soon.
