i figured out my problem i think i went over both trans and found the brackets might be off a 200r4 which i thought was a th350 so i am going to try and find the correct cable and brackets for my trans since i went from a column shifter to floor. but another question the 200r4 is it a good transmisson?

The 200-4R is a good transmission. Would need some internal upgrades if you're going for some power. Otherwise a rebuilt one would be sufficient for a factory engine.

The desirable cores are brf, czf kzf. There is a ton of info out there. I myself just started accumulating parts to build my 200-4R.

You can get the cable from Rock Auto, and the bracket from Dixie restoration, formerly Dixie Monte Carlo.
