I have an 1978 Olds Factory Service Manual for my car. I also have Travato's book on Olds V8 Engines.
I have never even looked at a Motor brand of service manual. Anybody have one of these? This one is in excellent condition for $20. Is it worth having?
You are done. Stop right there. Can't go wrong now. Perspective- Motor book covers 5 years worth of all sorts of vehicles....the CSM covers various Olds models from model year 1978 only. And the books are probably the same thickness, or close to it. Which book would you trust more? And then ask yourself why is that?
Seriously, the Motor manual is probably ok as mentioned previously if you don't already have the CSM. But since you have one, save the $20. Go have breakfast with that $20 or something. Or buy another part for the car. JMO. Yours may vary.
I like motors. I rarely use manuals due to my experience level, but I have a full set of motors from the 30s to the 70s on my shelf next to my factory stuff. I think it's worth buying
