Jacks: El Camino-Caballero vs Sedans

I never realized there was a difference in jacking procedures among the G body family. Not sure if it's been discussed before but wouldn't a bumper jack be rough on a chassis seeing as it's being lifted only at an extreme corner? Why wouldn't the frame (as on the Sedans) jacking point be suitable? Are the wagons similar to the pick up cars?

It's not so much a difference in styles as it is the years. Pre 81 had different jacking points compared to 81 and newer. Both had the holes in the frame to use a jack though.
