Hi guys,
It's Jake here from Lublin, Poland (part of European Union if you are not familiar with this side of World 🙂).
Among other rides I drive '87 Chevrolet El Camino with 305cid SBC in it. I just recently acquired this vehicle, so it's currently stock, and really boring with it's stock 140hp and a loooooong final gear ratio.
It's hard to burn rubber, and it's really slow, so I will be picking your brains about some upgrades and fix-ups to get my Elky going.
Here are two latest pictures of me (blue shirted guy, if you're curious), my ride and couple of my friends who are also into old American V8s 8)

Thanks for the warm welcome, but let us use English in our further conversations - that translation was terrible (Polish uses a different grammar than English) Of course, I appreciate it! 8)
I think google translator does a much better job (just my personal experience) 😉

Welcome to the site! Glad to see the apreciation for muscle reaches all around the globe!

Gin dobre, Jake.
Welcome. Nice to see enthusiasts from other parts of the world. I would have never thought of Poland having a following for older American cars.
We have members here from Norway, Germany, Sweden, etc. Nice to have you aboard.

Where is Lublin near? My parents were both from Poland originally.

welcome...it's cool to see guys from across the pond with G bodys...I like that "boring" el camino you have and the GP that has a mat finish looks sharp...but if your going to post pictures with food on a bbq your going to have to share...

It's about 90miles southeast from our capital - Warsaw 🙂

Sure thing mate - anytime! I've just came back from another BBQ. I knew I needed El Camino for a reason - eating some freshly grilled hot bacon sandwich while laying on my truck bed watching the stars 8)

I got it locally in Poland. But I got it from a guy, that imported it from US. New Jersey to be exact. Some Irish Marine who was last US owner took a good care of it. But there are some things to clean up. I've already started with some bits and pieces.

You can see it in action in a video, that my friend posted: http://gbodyforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=27779&start=0

Poland is not the richest EU state, but we sure are not third world, so we have different car clubs. Hell, I even run one of them: http://www.amerykany.com - dedicated to muscle and pony cars - only RWD V8s and no BS
It's a small board, as we do not tolerate talking about US minivans and other FWD US cars - it just doesn't feel right 😉
The biggest Polish American car club whould be F-Body Club Poland (http://www.fbody.org.pl). I used to be there as I owned two Firebirds prior of realizing, that I'm better off with something more comfortable with similar performance.
