i have been using one for three years now, very close to headers. when i was pushing into garage the steering was making funny noise, when i turned the steering wheel the tires didn't turn. turned out to be the rubber near the top was slipping, put a bolt thru that part where the rubber was. the bolt fixed it. with the power steering i didn't have the problem, but it would of probably started slipping eventulally.
