So I was at the local pick and pull over the Weeknd and I came across a rather clean 85' El Camino body sitting flat on the ground. It had just began being parted and floors were cut out. I thought it weird that it hadn't been propped up on Jack's like the rest but didn't think too much past the mental debate of taking the clean wheel reset wheel arches to Zeus onto my Cutlass or not.
Upon leaving the yard I noticed a gbody frame laid out near the front gate. The over spray matched that of the El Camino carcass I had just seen prior but the rear suspension caught my eye immediately. Someone had converted this frame into a rear independent suspension set up. It had air bags, upper and lower control arms, it's own rear subframe, center section, axle shafts and knuckles. It was even as complete as having rear brakes installed and a differential cooler.
My question is basically if anyone has any idea what rear end this set up might have originally come from or even if anyone knows who may have done this/ similar style swap. The calipers said Ford on them and my initial impression was a jaguar suspension but I'm unsure. Also it was for sale for $500 so that had me curious 😅🧠

That is Amazing. Guy must have hit a big snag in the design, or got divorced.
