Just got a 79 Monte and have some questions

Can't go wrong changing the fluids and filters as necessary. What clean8485 said is correct.

Thanks I didn't want to put it up on a bad/wrong spot and be under it if something happens. Ill just change all the fluids just to be safe.

Congrats on the purchase of a nice looking Monte Carlo from another 3rd gen owner. (Currently I have two 79's)
I agree with malibujustin on one of the support points. I always use the area he circled behind the front wheels but always support the rear at the same point just before the rear wheels.
Also remember if using a floor jack at the rear axle DO NOT jack on the sway bar!!! Been there, did that, broke the bar!!!!
Your car looks real solid underneath!

Was just using the pics he pit up as reference to where frame is. For sure Bob S. Is correct about putting the stand in front of rear tires on frame. Also good point about not using sway bar as jack up point. Mainly be careful.
