Here she is in all her beauty.

That is a solid looking car...I like it!

I looked at this 79 Calais about 3 years ago....stopped back again just a week ago...still there...nobody home to talk to though. It has tan interior....body is rusty and I'm sure the underside is as well. I'd like to try and pick it up.

Those rims are worth a fortune aren't they?

Honestly I'm not sure...you'd think they would be....the also made them in a silver/aluminum color...

This Monte went through the wrecker with one on it...

I bought it and sold it at the swap meet earlier this spring. Had a like new tire on it. The guy that bought it said you had about 20 of them...told me he was buying them new in boxes a few years ago for like $25. I got $50 with the tire.

Pretty much anything that old here in Canada is rusted away. Our winters are not the kindest to vehicles. All these G-bodies are pretty sweet. I like the Montys too.

Thanks OD showtime, Do you have a wrecker near you? I would be like a kid in a candy store if I had one near me.
It's getting real hard to find parts for these cars. I need an oil pressure sending unit for a gauge and NAPA wants 90 bucks for it. I couldn't even find a double d carb adjusting tool anywhere. Had to order one from ebay.

I have 4 wreckers pretty much right here in the city....the G Body stuff still shows up but not like it did a couple of years ago. There's a couple with quite a few G Body cars within an hour or so drive. I also know where there are a couple dozen G Body's sitting in farm yards (like the brown Calais I pictured). I was also recently told about some G Body wagons sitting in a farm yard not too far from here. It's getting harder and harder for me to step back from the parts chasing....

Wow, that's awesome. These older cars had so much more individuality than the modern cars. Nowadays it looks like they all use the same car and just make little tweaks to the front and back. I can't tell the difference between a Mazda and a Hyundai.
