How would I possibly wire 2 kill switches in my car. I already have 1 in my car and it was there when I bought it. the switch is the switch type. (switch 1 way "off", switch the other way "on" or "kill"). I was reading the theft deterrent topic and its interesting.

The sky's the limit. A kill switch in the glove box? A secret solenoid that you actuate somehow, like when you pull the ashtray out? A push button hidden in the console cover? ( my favorite). A little ingenuity and you will come up with something.

I mean wiring as far as what would I lead my wires to? My current kill switch is no my ignition. I would also like a kill switch for my battery or alternator. If so, how would I wire it? Location of the switch isnt a problem.

Oh. Well the starter wire is a good one. I tap into the ignition feed right off the steering column for mine. Some guys use a solenoid mounted in the engine compartment that actuates the big "pink" ignition wire to the coil. The alt wire wouldn't do anything, but for the battery you could use a boat type master switch, it would handle the large load and is waterproof. You could mount it so you reach up under the bumper and turn it.

You can also tap into the power wire to the distributor so when it cranks there is no spark. What I don't like about that is the idiot will crank til the battery is dead. I prefer the starter interupt myself, but for me the distributor is probably better since I have a Ford solenoid on the firewall that would be easy to jump.
