I am thinking about painting part of my laptop (Gateway MX8711), along with a hacked iPod Mini I am building when I do my Cutlass. So, the limitation of this project is the three colors I am spraying that day. GM Navy Blue Metallic, a really dark black and Mercedes Benz silver. The iPod will be all one color: dark blue. However, I am trying to come up with some creative ideas for the laptop case. Right now, it is dark gray on top with a black bottom. I will be keeping the black sections, but painting the ugly gray. So, any ideas as to how to use these colors?

make sure you get some adheasion promoter(sp?) other wise its just gonna flake off. also you should paint it one color and then make a template outa paper or card board and make a nice design on it. OR, you could paint it, then go to a shop that does print screening, and you can put whatever design on it. well thats what id do, but thats just me. oh and i did this with my old ps2. i took the "body pannel" off and bought some duplacolor color shift paint. i had to paint it black and then spray about 10 light coats of this on and it turned out pritty damn good for my first time. if i were you, id practise some pin stripeing on it, just for fun. just my $0.02.

Well, it is already painted, so I will just paint on top of it. So far, I have three ideas. Al black, all blue, or blue fade to black. It will be done in Diamont base/clear that is left in the gun after I spray a coat on the car. I could also base it in silver first, then outline a design in fine line tape and put the other colors on top of that. Then when I remove the tape the silver will be left behind and I can clear over all of it.
