Last Concert + Next Concert

Last show was Slayer, Anthrax, and Testament. Caught that tour twice 2 months apart, that was 2 years ago. I was hoping to catch the Slayer/Lamb of God tour this summer but had to work.

No idea on next show. Was hoping to see Hellyeah soon but since Vinnie died that's not happening.

The girlfriend wants to go see Luke Combs in Feb so I'll probably be dragged to that. Nothing like a bunch of Walmart cowboys singing about the same stuff that the country artists decades before them did. At least he's not part of this new pop country garbage like Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Same Hunt, etc.....sorry, rant over!

BSO. VLV XIX 2016. That was a great show!

My hearing at live concerts or even a few people talking at one time ain't what it used to be, sounds muffled if it isn't good clean sound. That being said, My company work van I drive far more than my own has a 450 watt amp for the 2- 12's behind my seat And a 75 x 4 amp for the other speakers and a good eq with old fashioned knobs. While the visual aspect ain't there, it's a f'n concert in there I get to enjoy at least 5 days a week. Some say if it's too loud, you're too old. If you tell me what I listen too is too loud, I may say you're right, but loud sounds good with clean power. One of my younger co-workers once said he could feel the wind when he open the door of my work truck and that's mainly from the full range speakers. Annoying older people with loud music when I was younger, now annoying younger people. How cool is that.

Speaking of old, what I find amazing is the singers of some bands mentioned such as lamb of god, anthrax, testament, etc still sounding as strong as they do at my age.
Next concert----- tomorrow morning at 7:00 am

"Bro-Country" is the worst thing to happen in music since Buddy Holly died.

Last live venue was Ian Anderson with a youth symphony orchestra.
Did a lot of vintage Tull stuff, and some new work.
Got to meet him backstage after the show, he signed my wife's flute.
Pretty cool dude.

Wow!! I must be way older than all of you guys! 😆

I passed on Ozzy Osbourne a few weeks ago here. The Mrs. went though.

Last concert for me was Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience. Don't have a "next" one yet. I might take the kids to see Trans Siberian Orchestra at Christmastime. Although there is a Stone Pony Band that is a tribute of both Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny. They're playing this Saturday locally.

Last concert for me was Bruce Springsteen at Giants Stadium (i refuse to call it metlife stadium). Up next for me will be Elvis Costello at the Sands Casino.

went to see Ozzy and Stone Sour last weekend, Seen, Godsmack, Marlyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Bad Wolves, Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage and a couple others this summer and still have Blue October and Aaron Lewis coming up this fall/winter.

Saw Ozzy w/ Sabbath on the "The End" tour 2 yrs ago. He really needs to just stop. He did a fair job, but you could tell it was all he could do to just keep himself standing. I guess he's been well-preserved by all the chemical additives.

I was actually surprised, he put on a hell of a show (and that's with being not very drunk on my end) his voice was still spot on. He didn't run around a lot like he used to, but still put on a great show especially with Zack Wild on lead guitar for this tour. I've seen him probably 12 times over the last 20 years and almost always killed it!
