Was looking at ordering one of the Lauren cowls for my cutlass. Are they a nice part? I see there is the H/O reproduction and the "normal" one. Basically the $150 one or the $180 one. I plan on removing the hood center trim and filling the gap and also molding it to the hood. Probably go with the $150 LEX-14-A one.

Any experience with them?

well if your gonna get rid of the stainless piece on the rest of the hood maybe you could try to match it to the hood line to the line on the LEX-14-A piece. or knock down the line on the scoop. either way really, depends on the look you want.

I assume it would probably be more work to modify the $180 piece because it has the trim piece that replicated the factory piece.

yeah man. that looks real clean, never noticed that about his car. The lauren eng. scoop looks like that peak is a little bigger than crash's but it can be changed i guess.

Yeah do that. Thats clean!!!! Sorry but Imma have to do that myself! I cant afford the Lauren Eng hood scoop so i had to make one LOL. I havent touched it since I made it but it came out pretty good... I think! I will be smoothing it out & working it soon. What do you think?

I bought one the edges were chipped the gel coat was cracked, and the instructions were photocopies of old photocopies .
I wound up throwing it in the trash. They jerked me around for a year telling me they would make it right.
I wound up buying a steel cowl hood from Good Mark.

That looks good and it'll set your car off. Last time I was in the area I wanted to stop by LE but I never made it. Anyway I too was going to get the same scoop but now I'm all about the fe3x scoop. Buy it and let us know how the quality of the parts are because they have a few other items that caught my eye.

The plan was to use my turbo monte bump but it doesnt look "right" on the Cutlass hood. The Monte bump is angled to one side and doesnt flow with the hood line as nice as it should.

Just sorta torn if its a good part or not.
