P/N 17083553. Definitely the right carb number, but I seriously doubt 800 miles. Again, this is LIKELY Originality Plus here, but I cannot confirm it. They used to be listed as being right around the corner from Originality Plus in California until suddenly overnight they were out of Royse City, TX. I don't know anything else about it.

The carb looks sad for a supposed 800 miles. Sorry to say. The mixture control screw caps have been removed. WHY? Nothing else seems like it's been messed with. Although it probably sat in a garage and rusted up.

I guess there's a distributor and various other little parts with it. For $1500 asking price, they should toss in more than that.

I actually emailed that guy and told him the same thing, I asked him what the best offer just on the carb , Like to have an extra around

Like anything else in this world... its buyer beware, and are you willing to take the hit if it doesnt turn out like you hoped.

Why would you have the "original" box for the carb if it came off the actual original car?

Fair question, right?

The box is not the original for an 83. It is from a service carb number to replace a 1980 carb production number 17080259 from a 350, A, C or E body, or 307 C or E body. I believe that may cover the 1980 442.

85.7% positive feedback says everything I would ever need to know about buying here

"I don't markup shipping. You pay what I pay rounded up to the nearest dollar." Uhhh, that's the very definition of marked up

Ah ok I must have missed that...makes sense then I thought it said he had carb for sale in the original box. Thanks for clarifying.

The screw for the secondary hanger has been changed from the stock mini torx to a flat blade screw.
