I recently picked up a pair of bucket seats from an '84 Buick GN. They looked different from anything that I've ever seen in any G body, so I did a bit of research. Turns out that they're made by Lear Siegler, and were a bit of a rare option, and only available in 1984 and 1985 on the GNs. Anyone else here ever come across this type of seat? does anyone know of any other rare seat options for the A/G body? I've heard of the Viscount seats for the GP, just wondering if there were any other unusual option seats available.

Yes. I used to have an 84' Grand National with the leather Lear Siegler seats. They are rare and worth some good money if they are in nice shape. The Lear Siegler option had thigh support, back side(wings) support and lumbar support. Very comfortable seats. Does your driver seat have the power option? You can find more information here

What is your plan for the seats?

lear Siegler seats are quite rare, they go anywhere from $350 all the way up to $650 depending on condition and whether or not they are power. congrats on the find, they'll add substantial value to your ride.

Thanks very much for the replies, and the info. The driver's seat does have the power track. That's how I found the seats, I originally started looking for a power bucket seat track, and found the seats in the process. They're in kind of rough shape, so I'm not sure what I'm doing just yet. I've found upholstery kits, but they're kind of expensive. I tried to see if anyone carries reproduction seat foams for these seats, but I can't find anything, probably due to the rarity of this option.

I have a pretty decent set for their age with the usual side bolster wear and such. I actually pulled the front and back seats from an 84 GN i sold as a rolling chassis with complete running motor. I was looking into skins for them and, as you said, they are north of 600 as quoted by the one company. I decided to hold on to them and unload them in a few years if i can find a buyer. I would love to put them in my regal but you can find a new set of seats for 200 that are just as comfortable and need no work at all, and that is what stopped me from dumping the cash on the covers. Good luck!
