I just received my new F body nose emblem today. Since my car is in the body shop I had brought the old one home so that I can compare when the new one came in. The new one is slightly smaller than the original '79 emblem but where the mounting stud is located centers the difference in size. This will mean when it's installed there will be a very slight gap around the emblem to the moulded nose opening. I still think it will look good, way better than the worn out one I had. Can't wait to see what it looks like on when the car is finally painted 🙂. Hopefully this helps out any '78-'80 owners looking for a new one. I'll post a close up pic once the car is painted with the emblem on.
