Welp after a few trial fits and realizing what I’d have to change accessory wise because of the threaded water pump and rad fittings setup I have decided to stay carbureted. Picked up another setup locally along with some other goodies..

Rode about for a few trying to dial the carb in. It’s a bit smaller than last one I had
CFM wise but it’s physically larger. I actually had to trim my hood for clearance.
That’s with the low profile breather.

.... Yes I used spacers with both carbs

Yes Yes I know... Wirings a mess. Will post some pics of it once it’s cleaned up a bit. Hopefully have time this weekend to trim and clean it a bit

Baby steps. The plan for my wiring keeps changing. Temps will be low “20s” tomorrow so hopefully I can pick up on Sunday at some point.

Rant
Rant

Doubt I ever posted a pic of my trunk in this thread. Long story short at some point someone cut the spare tire carrier completely out of the trunk. Not sure how many owners ago. There has always been a huge hole in the trunk floor. I kept it covered with a piece of wood. Anyway I’ve been driving the car a little more lately and the exhaust has been annoying the hell out of me... I go to the muffler shop today to slap a quieter muffler on and the guy says maybe if you close that hole up it won’t be so bad.... And I thought .... Mayyyybe He’s right

Sooo.... I closed it up with steel from Home Depot and some scrap I had laying around and a flux welder.

Nope I would never show my welds .....

Never
