Welcome, good looking car reminds me of my dads from when I was young. He had an 87 Aerocoupe that same color with grey interior. What color you going to paint it?

I’m going back the original color. I don’t want to take the time to paint the door jams, trunk, etc. I’ve been adding black accents to the interior to break up the over abundance of grey in the interior. Think I’m going to replace the carpet with black and add black carpet inserts to the lower door panels.

I’ve been contemplating wrapping it instead of paint. Does anyone have any opinions either way about that?

Sounds good, I went full ratard on my interior but yours sounds like it would be a lightly modified and classy. Would love to see some pics

I've had the wrap for my Blazer for a few years now, but haven't finished it to be able to get that done

I looked into it but never pulled the trigger. It seemed to me that the cheap wraps could last a few years whether the car stays inside or outside, but obviously inside is better. They also seemed to not last terribly long even if you did keep it indoors. The better ones claimed to last 5 years or better even if left outdoors as long as they were properly cared for, and I was told to expect 8 to 10 if I parked inside. You can get ANY design you want and it's cheaper than paint. But it's still just a sticker, and damage has to be seen and fixed immediately.

These claims may only apply to the specific shop I asked, though I also did quite a bit of online reading and my memory isn't perfect either.

My Monte is painted black but I did also bring some black into the interior when I changed the interior color from gray to camel.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m on the fence about it. May run by a few shops and talk to them about the pros and cons from their perspective.
