I believe the part is called a bumper strut bracket. Its the piece that gives in an impact, rather than the frame or bumper. I cant find it anywhere, probably because Im calling it something else. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I believe GM officially calls them "Bumper Energy Absorber".
Try that and you might have more luck looking for them on-line.

Unfortunately, I don't believe they are readily available new, and no reproductions that I know of.

You would have better luck finding used ones.

Try this URL and plug in the year make and model and they might show a junk yard near you.
http://www.car-part.com/ (Here they call them BUMPER SHOCK)

I have had good luck with this site before. It is essentially a JUNK YARD database that many yards use. Unfortunatly the databases for some yards are out of date and parts may not be there.

Good Luck.
