Looking for exhaust help

I have an 86 GP with the 305 and want to upgrade the exhaust to duals from the cat back. Will the Monte SS or 442 set up work as a direct bolt on and where is the best place to get a stock set up. I would probably want to use a higher flow cat as well and maybe higher flow muffler but do want it to be quiet at highway speeds.

My car is all original and so I like the idea of using a system designed for the G body. I used the pypes system on a Can Am once and the fit was never right so I won't be interest in their product.

i have a torque tech dual 3" exhaust kit on my monte, and it fits great. i have heard alot of good things about torque tech also. they do have cat back kits as well

I using the exhaust from a Grand National which splits into duel from the cat back with the GN 2 in and 2 out muffler.

oh and the GN style exist right behind the back tires, which is the same as my dual 3"

it exits out the back but if you wanted to do something different the pipe that splits in two just after the cat does end before the rear axle.....I used the stock GN pipes and the GN muffler that sits in the pocket behind the rear axle with the exhaust pipes coming out behind the wheel on each side

That is what I want for it to come out behind the rear wheels. where did you get your system?

I got it from a guy who upgraded his exhaust on his GN...I got the whole system from behind the cat to the back for $50. It's an upgraded system with all mandrel bends and the pipe that splits into 2 is an alluminized so it has no rust on it. I had to fabricate a piece to connect the cat to the pipe so I didn't have to spend big $$$$$$ on buying a cat for a GN. You can still buy the whole system from your local muffler shop but they don't have mandel bends and it's not cheap.
I am going to put duels on my GP so that system is coming off and going up for sale but don't hold your breath cause I'm not in a hurry unless what I'm looking for shows up.
