I wouldn't shave the drip rail off. I have considered it once myself, but decided against it. You would regret shaving it off...just my opinion.
The wheels actually do look good with the back ground painted black.

Yes to the black window frames, I did that on mine and with the limo tint from a distance looks like 1 long piece of glass on each side. 😀 I do however like the wheels without the black, I say polish the faces and paint the inserts back to an aluminum color.......basically just like you have them in the current pic 8)

Thanks for all the reply's guys.

I am going to go with the black upper window channels. All of the cars original chrome trim was previously been converted to Satin Black and will stay that way. Now I have to decide if I paint the upper door frames, upper B Pillar's, Glass trim sections of the A & C pillars do I paint them Base Black/Clear to look like the tinted glass with Satin black trim or just paint it all Satin black? Hope that makes sense...

Still up in the air on the wheels but I have time to figure that out. Might wait till its done and borrow a blacked out set from a MAGNA club member and throw them on to see how it looks.

If done as in the pic, blacking out the wheels would look great!

Ed,
I was also trying to decide on the type of black to do my window frames, upper pillars, etc. I think I'm leaning more towards the satin black. I know what you mean about the glossier black matching the tinted glass, but the satin has more of an OEM look to it. Perhaps using the base black with a mat clearcoat would look good, too.

I'm thinking of using SEM in the can and shooting it with my touch up gun.
What did you use on your window trim? Powder coat, or paint? I was thinking of doing all my trim with the SEM trim black as well.

I scuffed the chrome trim, etched primed it, suffed it again and spray bombed it satin black rustolium brand I believe from wallmart.

I remember our 89 chevy astro as a kid had a section between the glass that was black but looked dead on as the glass maybe Ill try to locate one and look at the finish. Might be more of a semi gloss black.
