How to fix a loose floppy ac air vents?

You could probably remove them and apply some thin black foam strips on the sides.

Agreed, but I'd go top and bottom where the pivots snap in. Or, maybe a thin nylon washer on the pivots.

I agree, since he didn't specify I assumed side to side movement.
With the condition of the dash I would have to also consider the possibility of the pivot point area being broken or cracked.
