Loose steering column

If you have no working knowledge of how to fix this, You might save your self a lot of grief by finding someone that does to help you.
You will need a few special tools also. I found this on another forum, It is a good write up on how to fix a loose column. Good luck.

Hi, I came across your post as I'm researching how to fix loose tilt steering (1980 Malibu, TH350-floor shift). ive tightened the 4 torx bolts and lower housing shroud is STILL loose. you think the column support lock plate is broken?
