Hey fellas...Ive run into a few little problems with my swap. I cant seem to find a bottom radiator hose that will fit both the pump and the radiator. The pump outlet is 2" and the radiator fitting is 1.5". Ive looked for a reducer (no luck) and I made a temp hose for the breakin but it wont fit in the car (too long). Just wondering if anybody has run into this problem. Another issue I have is that the passenger side manifold on my motor seems to be too close for comfort to the floorboard. Maybe this is why most people use headers with this motor swap, but I wanted to stick with the stock manifolds. Any opinions or ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks....

That radiator is for a smaller hose motor. Some replacements have a stepped fitting, so either a 1.5" or 2" can fit. Some used to come with a sleeve to slip over the 1.5" to make it 2". That may be your best bet, use a short section of hose to "build up" the fitting to 2". I did that on a Firebird, worked OK. Eventually you can replace the radiator with a 2" fitting model. The top fitting is the same, or no?

The radiator is for a 307 gbody. The pump is on a 70 350sbo non/ac so it has the larger pump fitting. I think I may have to just suck it up and get a HD water pump that has a smaller fitting or just make an adapter out of exhaust tubing and bead it somehow so it wont blow off.

Check with your local radiator shop they can replace the lower neck to a 2'' neck for not much money, if not they can replace the tank on that side with one that has a 2" neck I have done this a couple of times in the past , It also would be a good time to have the core cleaned and checked If you haven't done that yet.

Do you still have the old 3.8 hose? If so does it fit inside the 2" hose? There's your adapter.
