Just installed the low miles lq4 & 4l80e combo into my newly redone frame and body. I recently blasted and primed and painted the frame and inside of the car. Also the bottom of the body. Put on all new umi front suspension with delrin bushings. Hotchkis lowering coils.all new rear Double adjustable upper and lowers. And all new body bushings lizard skinned the floor pans and trunk. Minni tubbed the frame and body. Still a lot left to do.

Used trans dapt set back plates. However remade them. My engine is 1 inch forward of stock. Will accept the truck air conditioning this way. And give extra room for the rear of the intake. Also can reach the bell housing bolts if necessary. I originally mocked up the engine with stock clamshells and worn out rubber frame pads. When I put in the new energy suspension mounts I had to redo the clamshells. It was fun but it I got it done.

Very nice build, am doing the same…LS2 and a 4L80 E into a 1983 Elcamino, having exhaust manifold-header problems….your pic looks like lots of room for the headers… what did you use ….make, model, application….thanks for the help….

I bought the cheap ebay stainless mid length headers. They fit and looked good until I started it up. They interfere with the plug wire boots. I am thinking of the American racing headers now. Did you find anything that works for you?
