I'm new 2 this site, but I'm really interested in doing a ls1 conversion brake system up front 4 my 81' Elco. So I can use my stock spindles, or do I have to get tha blazer spindles? And tha brackets, do I have 2 buy em new, or can tha ls1 brackets bolt up properly?
13" spoke wheels? Heck no I think some 15" wheel & caliper combinations can be modified to work with the 12" brakes but generally it takes at least a 16" like maybe the factory GNX wheels or the factory S-10 ZQ8 wheels. Most of the time they are put with a 17 or 18" wheel with the Gbodys.

Here's a couple links that can get you started. I've done two of these conversions myself, so if you have any additional questions, just let me know ...
