I have the engine/transmission from a '95 Impala SS in my '83 El Camino SS. Was told I could use my Camino's stock turn indicator w/ CC switches with a cruise control unit designed to use the PCM. So, got one from a '96 Camaro which a couple of folks told me is interchangeable with the cruise for the 95 Impala donor car.

My problem is with wiring. Got a mini-harnress for the newer cruise from Speartech and I am having difficulty determining if the VSS buffer for the 4-pulse VSS is in the digital dash assembly of the donor car, or if it is contained within the PCM. I've read both ways. Determining that issue would help me in solving the problem where the VSS wire on my cruise control wiring harness should be connected.

I am thinking I simply use the dk grn/wht wire from B8 on the LT1 PCM as the VSS signal for the cruise. Does that sound right?

Anyone know what the output from the VSS buffer is supposed to be? Thx!
