Well tonight on my way home from work, about 1230am, I got pulled over for speeding. My speedo isn't working yet but he said I was doing 57 in a 35, which I believe and am glad that's all! When the light turned green, I eased into it, but since I love the feeling of the converter flashing I couldn't help myself. Unfortunately there was more than just the converter flashing lol. Well I have a clean record so he issued me a ticket for no seat belt, even though it was on, which is only $50. Two cars showed up and they were looking at my car. Guess its not everyday they get to see cool cars! I'd say I got pretty lucky!

I remember a couple summers ago I was heading up north to my friends cabin at night.
Was just turning to go down this country road and finish my last 40 50 miles to the cabin and here comes some lights.
Yep, he is going to pull me over.
So I edge over on the side of this dirt road and he comes up to my car and says your Plate light is out, Witch I knew.
The Police Man then goes on about how he has a Grand Prix like mine.
We talk for few minutes about them and then he lets me go.
Yep, sometimes you get lucky.

That's strange a cop did that, they normally reduce the speed to lower the fine. Giving a ticket for another offence that did not occur the cop would have to lie in his note and falsify a ticket. I wonder why the cop would take a chance that if you fought the seat belt ticket he/she could get into alot of trouble with their boss if they provided false disclosure and lied on the stand if it went to trial. And if a second car was radioed in to assist that would not be for a seat belt, but it is common for someone speeding.

That's what I thought. After midnight the police around here tend to send multiple cars just as a precaution. Need to remember we border the south side of Chicago. If I were to fight it what proof is there that I had my seatbelt on though? I took it as a lucky break.

My brother got out of a ticket somehow, clocked at 135 in a 55mph zone in his 455'ed Caprice. The car looked like crap but goes like hell, my brother said "yeah sorry, I didn't know I was going that fast, I'm really late for work and its an old car, throttle sticks a little". Not sure how or why, but the cop let him go with a warning

Years ago I got pulled over for drag racing and the officer walks up and gets my driver's license and registration and less than a minute later he sprints up to my car and says there has been a hold up and he is giving me a warning and hands my stuff back to me and then takes off in his car, I think I just sat there for a minute in disbelief.
