Malibu/El Camino SS front valance with trim pieces

Those of you running the under bumper SS front valance with the 2 ton paint trim pieces still on, did you trim the valance to sit properly or did you just mount it lower than factory? Does anyone have pics of this combination?

Yea, those are what I mean. When you bolt up the valance, it runs into the spot under the side marker light
