Malibu interior color help needed

My 1981 Malibu's interior color is blue, code 26c, as per the body tag. I was searching and could not find what color blue this is. Gbodyparts.com has a buch of different paint colors listed but the codes are something else. I have no idea what Adriatic Blue is, but from their list it looks like my only option. :?: http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_info. ... cts_id=482

I was not sure of my interior color when I got started, so I contacted Mike at Mikesmontes.com. He has the knowledge and was very helpful on the phone in getting the right colors to me. Might try giving him a call.

The local automotive paint shop is where I'd go. Usually they can mix up paint and put it in spray bombs if you don't have spray equipment. The trim code is essentially for the vinyl/cloth but I've never actually seen a chip chart for interior paint based on the trim code. Technically, you'd need a chip chart for vinyl dye and a chart for paint for the metal items. Again, I think the local PPG or DuPont store is the way to go. ...

dont know if you have facebook or not but the group gbody world there are alot of pl that are pretty good with the codes. just throwing that out there

I ordered a can of the SEM paint from NPD and I will test it out and see how it goes.
This rear panel is in bad shape, but is one of the few interior pieces I have that still has the original color. This will be my test panel.

Sem also offers a texture coat which you apply before the dye. It keeps the original texture of the panel which is pretty nice. The sem stuff is great stuff. Just make sure the prep is very good and you'll be all set.

If anyone was wondering, the SEM color is perfect. I tried it out today.
