I want to paint the tail light fillers and plate pocket on my Malibu. I primed the fillers like 8 years ago and can’t remember what color they were. I know they were some sort of silver. I was thinking of using Switchblade silver. It’s the silver gm uses now.

Light argent, but really any silver works. I used a late-model Ford color because I somehow wound up with a can of it.

Yep. They were a semi-gloss, not glossy originally.

I've mixed myself a quart of it when I was selling autobody supplies. I'll see about digging out the can or my paint book with the number.

I a can of WA3024 that I used on my wheels but I may use something with a coarser metallic. I thought the original had a gold tint to it. I’ll probably just use the newer silver color.

Found my two cans of the silver. PPG 8967 Astral Silver is what I used to repaint the plate pocket on my Monte. I can't find where I located that number cause my PPG books list 8568 Argent Silver as the only non-body silver but it's listed as wheel paint. 8967 is listed as a Mercedes color from late '80's to early '90's.

I’ll check those codes out tomorrow. We use ppg at the shop.
