i currently have an 80 el camino but im looking to get rid of it and get a malibu wagon. i've found some g body wagons like the oldsmobile and the buick and im wondering if i can throw the front clip off of the el camino onto either wagons and basically make a malibu wagon.

The Malibu clip will not line up with the Buick or Oldsmobile body lines. However, the clip will fit and line up on a Pontiac Lemans or Bonneville wagon.

There's WAY more Malibu's out there than any other brand of wagon if that's what you've got your heart set on...
Just keep looking, you'll find one.

thanks guys. i live in mass and i was about to go to philly to go look at a buick wagon too... and maybe go to whitecastle but now that i know, f the five hour drive

I agree with Blake. There's more Malibu wagons out there than Olds. Buick, or Pontiacs. I think Buick wagons look pretty cool.
Actually, I think they all look pretty cool.

a lil off topic - there's a G body Chevy Bel Air wagon that IS a Malibu with a different name. Not too sure if its a Canadian only car because the only one I've ever seen was the one I owned ten years ago and I've never seen once since. the one I owned came stock with a 350 because it was a police package car which was awesome. I think that its pretty rare because its hard to find documentation about them online except that it was a different Malibu package that was offered.

MadMax,
I'd love to see pics of this Bel Air wagon. The Bel Air name hasn't been used probably since the late '60's, early '70's...I think.
I know some oddly equipped cars came out of Canada. It wouldn't surprise me though.

I found this in Wikipedia.

With the discontinuation of the Bel Air two-door sedan after the 1969 model year, all U.S.-market Bel Airs sold between 1970 and 1975 were four-door sedans or station wagons - the latter carrying the Townsman nameplate from 1969 to 1972 and Bel Air from 1973 to 1975. However, a Bel Air hardtop coupe - based on the Impala Sport Coupe body - was sold in Canada from 1970 to 1975. This body even had a roofline similar to the original '66-67 Caprice coupe style for the years 1974 and 1975.

Ya know if it wasnt for the wannabe accent panel on that it would look pretty good.
