Hey guys and girls, I'm Tony. I'm new to the group but not new to the G-body or my favorite, the Malibu wagon. I am currently building my 2nd wagon. I say building because I am in this one pretty deep. It's a 78 wagon. Plans are, bagged and body dropped, completely shaved, tucked and molded bumpers, upadted header panel to 83 with a hand made phantom grill, relocating the license plate to the inside of the rear glass and shaving the box/tailgate. 94 DeVille tail lights frenched into the former body/ tailgate seem. The body drop is done, the 4-link and frame step notch is done, the bridge for the rear bag mounts is done, the core support has been dropped and the front control arms are being rebuilt right now. With S-10 drop spindles it still needs 1.5" to lay frame with a 245/45/18 tire. It has a 305/350 turbo combo in it right now and the floor is being rebuilt to be able to run dual exhaust flush with the bottom of the frame rail/rocker panels. I've built 100 minitrucks, fullsize trucks and love them but when it comes to MY ride, I am a street rodder at heart and the Malibu wagon is my favorite. I'm pretty sure most of you guys are restore mod guys and probably don't dig the style I am going for and it's cool. I love the look of a restored/ mild custom as much as I enjoy a full blown custom. If enough of you guys are interested, I'll post progress pics. Thanks for allowing me to contribute to your group.
