Manual Hood Light ON/OFF Switch

Everytime I work under the hood or at a car show for a long time, I disconnect the Hood Light. Added a switch to manually turn off the light. Simple splice into the black power cable that goes to the light.

I made a plate and mounted a toggle on the inner driver's side fender years ago on my Monte when I realized under hard acceleration both my underhood lights would come on from the mercury in the switch moving rearward.
So I just keep the switch off unless needed.
