Ok...here we go again...lol. You have a 4speed overdrive transmission?!? er...yeah...and so ....A 200 metric is a 3speed with Lockup torque converter, which is very similar to the 2004r except that you cannot select to lock out the lock up w/ a 200metric...lol The others on this site will probably say different, but thats my story and Im stickin to it...

well i thought thats what it had in it...idk. haha i never really did much searching into it. o well. hopefully whatever it is will be gone soon lol

Does your sift indicator say:

P R N D 2 1

or

P R N D 3 2 1 <--200r4

?

What are the numbers on the trans? That will be the easiest way to decipher what you really have.. :blam:

i havent had it on the lift for months and i didnt look when it was up there. and its p r n d 2 1

The there are 3 possibilities. It could be a THM200 or a THM250-C, at least if it's original. But it was common for these trannys to fail and get replaced with a TH350.

My 1980 Malibu has the THM250-C in it. Well a 700r4 is getting installed at the moment. My last car was a 1985 Bonneville. The previous owners (bought it new) used it for towing a camper. The stock transmission failed and they replaced it with a TH350. So you won't know for sure until you have a look.

Well after it's painted it will b over on the lift again for a fuel filter and exhaust work and go over all the brakes before it hits the road. And with only 66,*** original miles I doubt the transmission was replaced. O well I'll know when shes on the rack
