For those of you in Mass or the New England area there will be a car show on Sat. May 11th at the Hebert Candy Mansion on Route 20 in Shrewsbury, MA. This is an annual show held by the Eastern Mass GMO Chapter of the Olds Club of America. It is open to all vehicles but only Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, and Cadillacs will be judged and eligible for the awards. Last year we had just over 100 cars in attendance. More information about the show can be found at olds-gmo.com website.

A reminder about the show. The weather looks to be partly cloudy with temps in the low 60's.

Ugly1, yes, it has been the 2nd Saturday in May for the last 3 years now. It used to be the 3rd Sunday of May up to that point but the club ran into an issue that if it rained and needed to use the rain date it always ended up being Memorial Day weekend. A couple of years they tried the first Sunday in June as the rain date but ran into the problem of either high school or college graduations. The club decided to do it the Saturday before Mother's Day. It doesn't interfere with Mom and there's an extra weekend before Memorial Day just in case.
The weather Saturday was mostly cloudy with temps in the mid 50's. There was a strong breeze which made it feel rather chilly, especially when the sun was in the clouds. There were 82 cars in attendance with the majority being Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, Cadillacs, and then Buicks. There were a half dozen or so other makes and models. The Best of Show was given to an immaculate 1972 Cadillac Eldorado. Man was that one massive car!
Pictures will be coming in the next few days.

I put in my phone schedule to remind me for next year! Very cool. Hopefully I can get my caddy-rat to be and stay street able or my ElCamino on the road then.Thank you!
