Lifters are called Tappets, not tappers.
Your cam specs would be 314 advertised, not @.500
That being said.
If youre going with a strip car, youre never going to get away with a 2000 or 3000 rpm stall speed on your converter, keep looking higher. Youre going to want to hold off on the converter choice until you figgure out which cam youre going to go with. If youre going to have a street strip car, 3000 is a good area.
It sounds like youre more than likely going to end up building a street strip car or a 'hot' street car. With that in mind, and if you want a solid flat tappet cam, and something that is going to be in your current range of what you have on your engine Id go with this:
