I have built a melting furnace to melt aluminum and eventually copper or brass. Been practicing on soda cans and scrap and poured some clean aluminium ingots. Anybody here done this with any success making anything

Back when i had my 455 those edelbrock crossover plugs sound like a wrench in the valley pan when they werent done right. Lol

we use to collect wheel weights to melt them into lead bars to use as weights in our race cars

So i made my rocket logo by making it from wood and pressing it into castible refractory to simulate sand casting. It turned out rough and porous but i think i can grind and sand the face and sides, im going to fill the pockets with epoxy resin. Pre heating the mold with a torch looked pretty cool.

Thats made out a melted down briggs and stratton push mower aluminum crankcase that had thrown a rod. Cut up to fit in my melting furnace
